Intercostal Breathing

Primary target: Serratus Posterior (后锯肌)

Equipment
Band around the lower ribs (optional)
Sets & Reps
2-3 rounds × 8-10 breaths
How to do it
Wrap the band around the lower ribs, holding both ends; as you inhale, actively push the band outward in all directions (feel the intercostals and posterior serratus expand); as you exhale, the ribs draw back in; slow in, slow out.
Common mistakes
Band too tight (restricting breath), shrugging inhalations, rushed tempo
