- How to do it
- Knees bent 90° (soleus position); balls of the feet on the platform; sink the heels to a full stretch at the bottom, rise to the very top and squeeze one second.

- Tiny bouncy range of motion, rushing on the rebound

- How to do it
- Seated with knees bent 90° (soleus position); balls of the feet on the platform; sink the heels into a full stretch, then rise to the top squeezing the deep calf; slow tempo.
- Common mistakes
- Knees straightening (gastrocnemius takes over), bouncy half reps, rushing

Standing Calf Raise (Burnout Set)

- Sets & Reps
- 1-2 burnout sets to failure after working sets
- How to do it
- After the working sets, drop the load 30-40% and add burnout sets; 1-second stretch at the bottom, 1-second squeeze at the top; stop only when the tempo visibly slows and full range fails.
- Common mistakes
- Bouncing out the last reps (Achilles risk), counting half reps, dropping too fast
